This life is so crazy!

I am working on my Princess Bride Swap, see? See!? This is the purse that I finished yesterday...the little sleeping man is supposed to be Fezzig, but my patch ended up look ing like a fat stick figure...not exactly what I had envisioned. Over the top of his belly it says "and dream of large women..."

I went to go see my mummy today in the hospital. She is doing okay after having a bad evening of pain. She is going to have a HUGE scar on her belly. They cut her from her side - all the way across her stomach, and oh boy, seeing something like that on Grey's Anatomy is one thing, seeing it on your mom is something different! She is in good spirits though, especially since she could eat solid food for the first time today. I can't wait until she gets out of the hospital! I just want her to get better and better and better!

Speaking of family - I found my sister's blog! I won't link to it here because I'm not sure that Ren would want it public, but I think that it is so great that she is blogging.

More has been revealed to us about the circumstances surrounding Matt being let go at the theatre and it is not good stuff. It makes me livid in fact. I never like to discuss work related things - except crafty stuff - here, but I will say this once and one time only. SRT will not find someone who will work as hard as Matt did for them. He went back to work a week after I had gotten out of the hospital. He bent over backwards for them and they did not have the courtesy to tell him that they were renaming his position and giving it to someone else. It is their complete and entire loss and I am sad for them. Sad because they do not realize what they are letting go, and sad because in the long run they are doing themselves harm as a business and as angry as I am about all of this I do care about that theatre. It's a shame.

Alright now that that rant is over I will leave you a picture of cuteness to settle down: Cassie taking care of sick Matt:

Oooh! I almost forgot! I have a Wist List now! I'm obsessed with this idea of social shopping - I love looking at what everyone else is into, especially for fabric! But this service is free and wonderful and enables you to basically register at any store ever! My sister is always asking me around birthdays and holidays what I would like for presents and now I can steer her straight towards the indie flavored things that I love. Check out what I've been eyeing these days at Geek+Nerds Wist List
