I just keep rolling along

STILL diligently working on my late Princess Bride Swap a little bit every day so that I can send it out ASAP. Grr I hate late swappers, especially when it's me! The pincushion on the left is the "Buttercup" pincushion for the swap. I followed a tutorial that I found over at Whip Up. It was so easy and I had such fun making it that I immediately made the one on the right for myself. I love the print I used for the top - it's a turquoise asian print that I've gotten a lot of mileage out of - pants for myself, Joleen's bird, and now a new pincushion for me :)

Things went unexpectedly at the theatre today. I was promised full payment and I am letting them keep the majority of my props for the length of the run. I certainly didn't expect to walk away with that amount of money from all of this - so I am happy for that at least. The whole situation is still crappy, but I wasn't screwed over.

This picture just illustrates how much Hobbes loves plastic bags to the point of endangering herself. She nestled into this shortly after I emptied it of groceries - squeezing her face snug up against the side of the bag giving it a few happy licks before she fell asleep. My cat is either eccentric or suicidal - but she amuses us nonetheless!
