Good times and bad times...

Joleen of Love Joleen is making me a banner this instant! I'm so incredibly excited!!! The little hanging bird pictured here is a very belated birthday present for her that I'm going to make a priority to send her this week. We're chatting away on AIM about yogurt and weddings...life oy! If you read this Joleen - you rock!

In the world of bad news...Matt got let go at SRT. It's very upsetting. On the upside there is more time to be spent with him and planning our wedding, but finding a new job - hopefully in theatre - will be a challenge. I know we'll get through this though. I was really angry at first, like who really deserves this rough a start with all the things that we've been through in the past year? But we're a stellar couple and we just keep going right into the path of adversity. Ohhh mushy moment, how I love my love...

In crafty news I'm still working on my Princess Bride Swap. Late...bad me...but my partner is being very understanding. With all of this job stuff going on, and my mom having major surgery (P.S. thus far...a success!) it's been one upside down week. While I was sitting in the hospital the other day I took apart and restarted the Drop Stitch Vest from Stitch n' Bitch Nation. I'll post in progress pics sometimes within the next few days. They won't be terribly exciting because in the beginning it just looks like a gigantic scarf in stockinette. Ah well...some day I'll be all fancy like Fig and Plum.
