Why my blog is called Geek+Nerd

I was inspired to write this post by Alicia's post at Whip Up today...When deciding to purchase a domain name to devote to my crafts and my blogging, I gave a lot of thought to what the name of this blog should be. Cheeky Monkey, Ooh Barracuda flew briefly through my head, but when I thought of Geek+Nerd, I knew that my choice was made. The picture to the left is of my big sister and myself with a stunning amount of makeup on for Halloween. I think I'm in first or second grade - can't remember which. My sister, Renee, and I used to tease fight with eachother back and forth..."Geek!" "Nerd!" "Geek!" "Nerd!" She's Geek and I am Nerd. Renee is one of my best friends, inspirations, life coach, therapist, the Patsy to my Edina, the Geek to my Nerd and my sister! OF COURSE that's why I settled on this name - and it's perfect! Renny - if you're reading this, you rock sistah!
