And I'm spent!

Last night I decided it would be a good idea to start baking cookies at 9:00PM.

Rosemary Sea Salt Shortbread Cookie

I improvised some rosemary sea salted shortbreads. Not too shabby. Next time I would take more care to chop the rosemary so that it doesn't look like I've wedged a giant pot leaf in the cookie! Presentation-smation...I was in a hurry alright!?

Today I completely ran out of steam. There will be no 9:00PM cookie baking sessions today, I assure you. Instead, I'm cozied up in my yellow chair, dreaming of spring-time gardening. I think that a tower of herbs is in my near future:

I want a tower of herbs!

And I convinced my husband to build something like this for me:

If I build it, greens will come

Fun, no? We have to come up with a few extra dollars to buy the materials, so we'll see if it actually happens. I'm feeling optimistic.

My mom is coming over on Saturday and we're planning on pouring over seed catalogues together. I haven't quite solidified my wishlist. I'll let you know what we come up with!

Phew...I'm way to sleepy to be witty today! Tell me, dear readers, are you planning your gardens yet? What is on your wishlist? Veggies? Flowers? Tell me all about it.

no way! ok, here's the thing, i got so excited when i saw the table you want to make because when i lived in west roxbury (or west raspberry as the girls i took care of called it) i had found an old white table/desk missing it's top on the side of the road. it had had two side-by-side drawers so it was deep enough for plants and i put it on the front porch with plant pots set in it! if you keep your eye out for an old table on the sidewalk this spring (and boston is a gold mine) you might find one to retrofit - recycle and save cash! in any case, i can't wait to see what you come up with!

Those cookies sound soooo good! We have a kitchen garden that we need to get going again - I can't wait until we have a yard and a real garden!

Those cookies look seriously delicious.

And I actually just got a Burpee seed catalogue in the mail! There are peas in my future, if I don't kill them first... That herb tower is pretty neat too.

Fun fun! Seed catalogs are so delicious, and so dangerous. Have a great time.
