Quiet

Hello friends.

I do have fun things to blog about, but I've been feeling a little quiet these past few days. I have been distracted by the fact that the right side of my throat is swollen and painful from about my ear to my scapula. The inside of my throat is not sore - like a cold would be - at all, just the outside. It's weird. And of course I've been freaking myself out more by all of the fun medical (mis)information on the internet. "Could be an allergic reaction, could be cancer," I believe is a direct quote. I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday, that was the fastest that I could be seen.

So yes - giant painful scary swollen throat. Send some happy health vibes this way. Back soon.

Hope it just turns out to be something minor. Take care. I know how the internet can freak you out, I've learned to not look things up. :)

Take care, Sweetheart. And try to quit worrying about it. I have an overactive imagination so that is the trickiest thing for me to do but try anyway. Gemma's right - that way does lie madness.

I'm so sorry you're experiencing this! Good thing you are going to the doctor on Thur. In the mean time...

Over 25 years ago, when my daughter was 4 years old, we had to hospitalize her due to her neck being grossly swollen on one side. It was a gland in her throat. She was on an IV and the doctors never did understand what caused it. My mother read books by Adele Davis - Adele was the health and nutrition guru of the '40s thru '60s - and Mom suggested we give my daughter pantothenic acid. Like all B vitamins, pantothenic acid is water-soluble, so overdose is extremely unlikely. We did and my daughter's gland almost immediately began reducing in size until it finally disappeared.

15 years after that, a gland in the back of my father's neck started to swell. Nothing his doctor did worked. Pantothenic acid did.

I tell you this at the extreme risk of being annoying. But I truly believe it can't hurt and care about you! Whether or not you try pantothenic acid, I pray you get better quickly.
