Eye Spy...My morning ritual

There are three major components to my every morning.

1. Food
2. Blog-reading
3. COFFEE

I like my beverages hot

Those three requirements must be met and enjoyed for at least one hour to an hour and a half post waking up. I am a SLOW riser in the morning, and I need to putter before I can function. I always get up around two hours before I have to be anywhere, no matter how early that might be. If I have to leave the house at 7:30, I'll be up at 5:45. Otherwise, I will not be able to get out of the house!

Strange, maybe, but it's how I function.

There is so much happening right now that I have not had time to blog. It's not for lack of wanting to, I assure you! I am going to have to get creative with my images, because Matt left for tour yesterday and took the nice camera. He will be traveling all over the United States in the next two months, so he is going to take pictures galore and e-mail them to me.

Not gonna lie, I cried a bit when he left. Sigh - I miss him already!

that is so funny, i'm sorta the same way. but my routine goes in reverse of yours: 1. tea 2. blogs/e-mail 3. breakfast

i hope matt sends you some awesome photos - it's so hard when they go, totally messes up your chi!! romain is starting to do more business trips now and while the longest has only been three days - man! i'll be thinking of you.

p.s. what kind of muffins did you make? now i really really want some cupcakes!

I'm the same way, but with a shorter timeframe. I have to set my alarm for about an hour before I have to leave, snooze button it a couple times, then putter until about 15 minutes before I leave at which point I am able to quickly get ready and head out. :)

Good luck to Matt having a good tour and I hope you aren't too lonely.

Loved the coffee photos. Must have coffee as soon as I wake up! Take it out on the porch and slowly wake up and greet the day. Your post reminded me just how much this little ritual means to me.

You are welcome to join me any time!

I'm exactly the same. I don't work right until I've been awake at least 2 hours. And getting awake enough to get out of bed in the first place is a rigorous battle each and every day.

I do worry quite alot about having children one day. What will they do, how will they survive with a mother who has no power to life herself off the pillow. Once I'm awake I'lll do my best to make it up to them, dote and admire all day long, but that first couple of hours is going to be downright neglectful. ;)
