Sometimes retail therapy is necessary...
...even when you're "poor." *
I have been a serious bargain huntress as of late! Last Tuesday I had some time to kill before my Stitch n' Bitch group met. I meandered into Goodwill and was rewarded with treasure:

I also made another serious Craigslist score. I purchased a beautiful, mid-century modern looking dresser/credenza by Lane for peanuts. It's a huge piece of furniture, 32" high, 72" wide with nine drawers. The only thing that needs to be replaced on it are some corny butterfly knobs. I could not pass it up. However, even $15 was a splurge for me at this moment, so I'm instituting a self imposed ban on Craigslist until further notice!
What is your greatest thrift score? I'd love to know, tell me about it in the comments!
* Did you notice that I put "poor" in quotations? I have an awesome tank top that says "Girl, you're rich even with nothing." I don't think that could be more true.

LOVE the new dresser!
My best find would have to be my dresser too, which I've had for nearly a year and STILL not blogged about.
ooo treasure indeed!
I'm so envious of Graigslist. Our neighbourhood is having a council clean up soon, so piles of unwanted big stuff are growing on people's lawns. I discovered the most beautiful timber fold out writing table the other day, and was rushing home (only about 10 houses away) to get the car to bring it home (it was too big for me to carry).
But I didn't make it 3 houses before someone (who obviously had the same idea 10 minutes before me) pulled up in their car, and swiftly took it away. I stood and watched, heard my heart snap a little, and went home empty handed and bitterly disappointed. :(
I'm still thinking about how perfect I would have looked in our loungeroom.
For the strawberries alone it was worth it. And I know, I know Craigslist - such a tempting treasure trove.
