The Geek+Nerd T-shirt?!

Oh my goodness, I've been quoted on a t-shirt...that's actually available for sale...for people to wear!

Let me back up.

Awhile ago I was a contributor to an excellent little book called Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure. My entry was chosen from thousands left at SMITH Magazine's website. I entered for the pure fun of creating a six-word memoir for myself - and was totally surprised when I was actually picked to be in the book.

This is my six word memoir:

She danced, and did little else.

The book is super fun - and would make a great stocking stuffer for someone that likes quotes.

So about that t-shirt.

I received an e-mail from the publisher the other day, and it turns out that SMITH mag has teamed up with Spreadshirt to create Six Word Memoir T-shirt. Mine is right here: She danced, and did little else T-shirt.

How exciting is that?! You can see many of the other memoirs at the site, as well as create your own custom six-word memoir to sport on a t-shirt if you like. I think that's pretty nifty!

Challenge for the day: Write a six word memoir for yourself and if you'd like to share leave it in the comments below!

P.S. Thank you for all of the kind words left in yesterday's comments. I am so thankful for friends like you.

Wowee - I read that book earlier this year, when I interviewed Larry Smith for a podcast. Why didn't I recognize your name in there? D'oh!

Super-cool on the T-shirt! You are immortal now. :-)

I got into six-word stories after reading Hemingway's. So right before I graduated from college, I turned in a 6 word memoir with my creative writing project.

"Schooled eighteen years. Graduating soon. Shit."

It's so fun that yours made the book! I always looks at it in the bookstore. :)
