All the small things

Mmm, vintage buttons

A few little things are making me happy these days. Buttons=Crafter's Crown Jewels!
This handful of vintage buttons was picked up at an antique store in Lee. They make me so happy, they might as well be rubies!

Sweet hankie Cute boot

How cute is this little hankie? She's begging to be appliqued on something. Purse? Apron? Who knows! I love those little buttoned shoes!

More on the nerd-tacular organizing front, I just about flipped out when I saw this fabric folding tutorial via The Happy Zombie. I folded all of my fabric and organized it by color.

Neatly folded fabric!

Then I took it a step further, following the path of many other bloggers, and organized my bookcase by color:

Re-organized shelf - ta-da!

I had a job interview today - I'll find out by Thursday or Friday. Cross your fingers and your toes peeps!

hi sarah. i just responded to your comment on my blog post today about mr. rogers, but it was returned to me. thought i'd copy it here instead:

I feel the same way. My children talk about hannah montana, though they've never seen the show or probably even know that she's a "singer". It's all the marketing and media hype that they are victims of, even in what I believe to be a very sheltered existence for them. I'm the same way about TV with our children. We don't have a TV out right now. I feel better about picking a DVD here and there that I feel comfortable with them watching.

it's a shame to see a television station like PBS, which I believe to usually be pretty "for the children" make a decision like this.

thanks for joining in the cause!!

Awesome tut! thanks!

Love the cleaning and organizing frenzy..very catching!

and in regard to Molly and the Mr. Roger's dilemma I found this on Metafilter a long time ago. I didn't want to ever lose it so I copied and put it up on my blog. I think it is a must read, a tribute of sorts to Mr. Rogers. I hope you like it also.
