Luckiest Day EVER!
Two posts in one day, it's been a long time since I've done that! Today is deserving of it though, because today is seriously one of the luckiest days I've ever had.
First off, when I went to the ATM this morning I had to open the door of my Jeep because I didn't drive close enough for my stumpy little arms to reach. I looked down on the ground and there was a crisp $20 just lying there. There was absolutely no one around, so I picked it up! I couldn't believe it! I don't think I've ever found anything more than a quarter on the ground! I made my transaction and was about to drive away, when about ten feet away I saw a spot on the ground. It looked like a spot of road paint, but as I got closer it was ANOTHER $20!!! I stopped my car, got out and looked around. I felt like I must be on Candid Camera or something, but the bill wasn't on a string, or stuck to the ground, so into my pocket it went!
Then I went to the Farmer's Market, where I was greeted with a freebie maple ice cream from a now dear friend and a deal on some tasty fresh salsa from the nice guys at Appledore Cove.
After that I went to my sister's house and plunked a guitar for a couple of hours. My brother-in-law is in the process of building an amazing sail boat for the two of them. I wish that I had had my camera to show an in progress shot here on the blog, because man, that's about as DIY as you can get! So neat!
As I headed home I was feeling pretty awesome and content at that point. I was almost at my house when something caught my eye at one of my neighbor's houses.

I have been asking the universe for a cute, affordable, vintage looking outdoor furniture set for over a year now.

Oh how the universe was smiling upon me today! Four perfect metal folding chairs, and a round table, in slight disrepair, but nothing that a little TLC can't handle.
So guess what peeps, I'm feeling a little generous today.

***Luckiest Day EVER Give-Away***
To send some love back out into the universe, I'll be sewing up another sewing case just like this one:

Inside will be a few surprises for the winner!
Leave a comment below by Wednesday, July 16th at Midnight EST telling me the story of the best day that you've ever had. I will choose a winner at random by the next day.
Have fun!

Wow, what a day you had! That's just great! I really can't think of the "best day" I've ever had...I've had some good uns. The day I graduated, the day I got married, the day my daughter was born, but nothing real interesting comes to mind. But I was really pleased and amused to read about yours and I so need a sewing case like that! :-) Thanks for sharing!
That is a day that can't be beat! Sweet seats. The universe was smiling on you.
Sappy and cliche, but I'd like to think that the best day I'll ever have is sometime in the future.
Instead, I'll tell you how I proposed to my fiance while he was barefoot in our kitchen, doing the dishes. I wanted it to be an ordinary day, an ordinary environment, in a place that I knew wouldn't have us caught up in the moment of it all.
That was a pretty good day. He said yes.
Isn't the best day ever today? Maybe I have a bad memory so I can't remember that far back, or I'm trying as Eckhart Tolle says to enjoy the now! ;-)
Those chairs are straight out of domino mag. Awesome find.
When Thor proposed was pretty awesome. Each time one of the 5 (count 'em!FIVE!)offspring FINALLY was born was pretty awesome also!
Grandbabies kick booty pretty much every day. but then there was *this* day too:
I picked up Thor from work in a white cotton dress -looking pretty amazing if I have to say so myself. Then we drove from there to a great Italian restaurant in Burbank. We drove up and saw that there was Valet Only parking, grrrr. But suddenly a car directly in front of the restaurant pulled out leaving us with the PERFECT spot. We got out, had a fabulous meal and went out to the car. Thor got in and I was on my into the car when I saw a bill under the front tire. I thought it was a religious tract, but I asked Thor to slowly pull forward, I reached down and there was a crisp clean fresh off the printer $100.00! I took it into the restaurant, asked if anyone had inquired about losing a bill, they said nope and it was mine!
We went from there across the freeway to see k.d.lang in concert. I got tickets on line, the last ones available for the price we could afford and figured we'd have 'nose bleed' seats. We went in, asked the usher and he took us to the third row on the side of the stage. IT WAS AMAZING!
As we left the parking structure from the concert a guy motioned to us to roll down the window, we did, thinking he needed help, instead he through in a free rolled up concert shirt!
The normally 3 hour drive took us about 1 1/2 hours! In the canyon pass we had to drive through we saw falling stars... the whole day was amazing.
Hmmm... luckiest day ever, probably the day I got a $100 tip, that was pretty sweet. Of course anyday I find a random 5 spot in a pair of jeans is a great day!
