*Live from Broadway Dance Center
We interupt this craft blog to bring you "Sarah geeking out on instructional dance videos"...
I was poking around Dancers International when I saw this video posted.
DESMOND RICHARDSON INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEOS!!! What!? What?! What!? AMAZING!
Okay, deep breaths, for those of you who don't know, Desmond Richardson is basically like a dance god. He is one of the most highly sought after, talented, gorgeous contemporary dancers of our time. I took class next to him one time and I thought I was going to fall over and die I was in such awe. The man is movement.
So, of course I want these videos. This led me to investigating Live at Broadway Dance Center, where I then saw a preview video for all of their class on tape offerings. If I had $1,000 bucks I could buy all 24! That's not happening any time soon!
I narrowed things down to about five videos that I can't with not owning now. Hmmm, still too much money. But this is exactly the kind of thing that I can justify spending Geek+Nerd profits on. I need to refill my creative well to invigorate my teaching - and getting away to a workshop just isn't in the cards for now. We'll see. I haven't decided on spend now or save for later.
I *do* want to go to Chicago during the summer - and I was going to try and get financial assistance from my work, but I don't think that it will happen. The workshop is $600 if I register before February 28th. Soooo, I've got 1/6th of that put aside.
Well - speaking of earning moolah - I have put a few more things in the shop. Two pairs of awesome socks knit from 100% wool from Riverslea Farm. Hint...hint...nudge...nudge...wink...wink...
*Or..."This post is a gigantic commercial to reverse Sarah's poverty problem. Regular posting will resume soon hopefully!"
