Going Vertical

01-14-2007 going vertical Boy did I wake up on the wrong side of the bed today. I was one crabby girl when plans for the day got sidelined due to weather and I promptly did nothing with my day! Until a few hours ago. A big project that I'm working on for the new year is re-doing my tiny craft room. I'm attempting to make space to accomodate a little practice area where my husband can play bass. The book shelf used to occupy this space in the hall - and I have no larger shelf to replace it - nor can I afford any for the time being. So I've stacked the book shelf onto my fabric storage unit, (which is a gutted out old stand up radio that has been painted white and has a little fairy tale cottage on it - my mom made it forever ago for me!), and I kinda like the result. A little ghetto? Yes. But desperate times call for desperate measures my friends, and now I have a clear corner in that craft room.

01-14-2007 new sweater Now yesterday was a much happier day! My sister and I went to Tarjet-olay for the first time since it's opened. Sigh. Target is the superstore of my dreams. Damn their perfect marketing ploys. Ren bought me this super cute sweater to the right. (Thanks Ren!) It's a much cuter pea-ish green than this dark photo lets on. I especially love the puffy sleeves!

After shoppity shopping we headed back to Ren's for some superb sushi and movie watching. We watched Must Love Dogs, (John Cusack, always good in my book), and Million Dollar Baby, which made me change my reservations about Hillary Swank, but sweet lord what a tear jerker! I wished afterwards that we had watched that first so at least we could end off on the lovey dovey cutesy movie, hahaha!

I have tomorrow off for Martin Luther King Day and I suspect I'll be plugging away more at that craft room and working on some sewing for a shop update in the near future!

Cheers everybody :)
