First Project of the Year and Resolutions...

I bought this fabric quite a few months ago on sale at JoAnn's. The color is a little distorted because I'm back to using my camera for awhile. (I usually borrow my parents' camera, hence better photos).

Our living room looked a little bare, because we took down the tree today, so I decided it was finally time to get going on the new curtains.

You can't really tell, because of the darkness of the photos, but the mats on the painting to the left and right of the photos are dark blue and dark crimson, respectively. The new fabric really sets these off - I'm so psyched with the results! Hurray first crafty project of 2007.

Onto the resolutions - I'm trying to keep things realistic and manageable this year!

Resolutions 2007

• I will stay off of the computer for one day a week. I want to impose this upon myself because oftentimes I find myself in a spiral of looking at new craft blogs, clicking my way through pages of photos on Flickr or crafty projects on Craftster. I will use this day to do creative things instead of looking at creative things!



• I will work on choreography everyday. Even if it is for just five minutes. If I want to keep dance as an important part of my life, I have to make it a part of my life, everday.



• I will keep one surface in my craft room clean at all times. I got this one from Sister Diane over at Craftypod. This one will take a little while to institute as I'm about to overhaul the whole room...



• I will begin collecting vintage fabric and notions. The people's work that I admire the most often use vintage materials. I think that it just makes them a little more special, and I would like my products to have the same special quality.

I have one more big project for 2007 that involves the crafty blogosphere, but I want to wait a little longer to announce that. Stay tuned - and Happy New Year!
